Human E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase UBR1 (UBR1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a sandwich ELISA kit designed for the quantitative measurement of human E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase UBR1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and recognizes both natural and recombinant human E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase UBR1 (UniProt: Q8IWV7).

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit has a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.01ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 7.5%. Linearity in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma is documented across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery is given as an average of 86% (range 80-92%) for serum and 88% (range 82-94%) for plasma.

UBR1 is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that functions as a recognition component of the N-end rule pathway, binding proteins bearing destabilizing N-terminal residues to target them for ubiquitination and degradation. It is also described as a negative regulator of the leucine-mTOR signaling pathway and may be involved in pancreatic homeostasis. Defects in UBR1 are associated with Johanson-Blizzard syndrome.
