Human E3 SUMO-protein ligase PIAS3 (PIAS3) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the precise quantitative measurement of human E3 SUMO-protein ligase PIAS3 in research samples, also referred to by the synonyms E3 SUMO-protein transferase PIAS3 and Protein inhibitor of activated STAT protein 3. The assay is reactive with human samples and is compatible with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Detection is by colorimetric ELISA readout, with specificity for natural and recombinant human PIAS3 (UniProt Q9Y6X2).

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit delivers a sensitivity of 41.2 pg/mL across a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL, with intra-assay precision of 4.9% CV and inter-assay precision of 6.2% CV. Dilutional linearity is documented for serum (e.g. 116-126% at 1:2, 87-99% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (94-103% at 1:2, 109-120% at 1:8) and heparin plasma (108-117% at 1:2, 81-90% at 1:8), and recovery is reported at an average of 101% (range 95-107%) for serum and 103% (range 97-109%) for plasma. PIAS3 is an E3-type SUMO ligase that stabilises the interaction between UBE2I and its substrate and acts as a SUMO-tethering factor. It functions as a transcriptional coregulator in the STAT pathway and the steroid hormone signalling pathway, regulating STAT3 signalling by inhibiting STAT3 DNA binding and suppressing cell growth. Dysregulation of PIAS3 has been linked to cancer, autoimmune disorders and neurodegenerative conditions, making it a biomarker of research interest. The kit is intended for research use only.
