Human Dystrophin (DMD) ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise quantification of human dystrophin, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for research use only. The assay detects natural and recombinant human dystrophin (UniProt P11532), a protein that anchors the extracellular matrix to the cytoskeleton via F-actin and accumulates at the neuromuscular junction as a component of the dystrophin-associated glycoprotein complex. Mutations in the dystrophin gene are associated with muscular dystrophies such as Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy.

The assay is reactive with human samples, supporting the measurement of dystrophin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 6.8% and an inter-assay CV of 8.9%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with recovery ranges of 97–109% in serum and 99–111% in plasma. The product falls within the Neurosciences research area.
