Human Dynamin-1 (DNM1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Dynamin-1 (DNM1), also referenced by the synonym DNM, in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay detects natural and recombinant human Dynamin-1 using colorimetric detection and is suited to immunology and cell biology research applications.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.8 pg/mL and a detection range of 1.4–1000 pg/mL. Precision is given as an intra-assay CV of 3.8% and an inter-assay CV of 7.3%. Linearity has been assessed across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Recovery has been measured at an average of 85% (range 80–91%) in serum and an average of 87% (range 81–93%) in plasma.

Dynamin-1 is a microtubule-associated force-producing protein that binds and hydrolyses GTP, and is involved in producing microtubule bundles and in vesicular trafficking processes such as receptor-mediated endocytosis. Dysregulation of DNM1 has been linked to various diseases, including neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, making it a biomarker of interest for studying disease pathogenesis.
