Description

Designed for the quantitative detection of human Dual specificity protein phosphatase 9 (DUSP9), this sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie provides a research tool for studying DUSP9, a member of the dual specificity protein phosphatase subfamily that inactivates MAP kinases with selectivity for the ERK family. The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and recognises both natural and recombinant human DUSP9 (also known as Mitogen-activated protein kinase phosphatase 4, MAP kinase phosphatase 4, MKP4).

Performance characteristics quoted from the manufacturer include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.12 ng/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 4.2% and an inter-assay CV of 9.3%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5), with serum ranges of 84–94%, 113–123%, 95–108% and 83–93%, EDTA plasma ranges of 106–118%, 99–109%, 107–119% and 108–120%, and heparin plasma ranges of 99–111%, 104–114%, 94–102% and 93–104%. Recovery averages 87% for serum (range 81–93%) and 89% for plasma (range 83–95%). The target is associated with signal transduction research and is localised to the cytoplasm, with the protein entry referenced under UniProt Q99956.
