Description

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Dual specificity mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 1 (MAP2K1), also referred to by synonyms including ERK activator kinase 1, MAPK/ERK kinase 1, MEK 1, MAP kinase kinase 1, MEK1, and PRKMK1. The kit is reactive with human samples and validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids, detecting both natural and recombinant human MAP2K1.

The assay has a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL. Reported precision includes an intra-assay CV of 4.6% and an inter-assay CV of 8.3%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution series of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery data show serum averaging 113% (range 107-119%) and plasma averaging 115% (range 109-120%).

MAP2K1 is a dual-specificity protein kinase that functions as an essential component of the MAP kinase signal transduction pathway, activated downstream of RAF1 and in turn activating MAPK3/ERK1 and MAPK1/ERK2. Dysregulation of MAP2K1 has been implicated in cancer, and the kit is listed under that research area. The associated UniProt entry is Q02750. The kit is for research use only, with exact storage conditions provided with the kit components.
