Assay Genie's Human DST (Dystonin) ELISA KIT is a quantitative immunoassay created to measure human dystonin in research samples. Dystonin is a high-molecular-weight cytoskeletal linker encoded by the DST gene on chromosome 6p12.1, also known as BP230 or BPAG1, that anchors keratin intermediate filaments to hemidesmosomes in basal epidermal keratinocytes and stabilizes microtubules in peripheral sensory neurons.

The kit supports research into hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy type VI (HSAN VI), hemidesmosomal biology, and mechanistic studies of dermal-epidermal adhesion in dermatology and neuroscience workflows.
