Human DSE/Dermatan Sulfate Epimerase ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise quantification of Dermatan Sulfate Epimerase (DSE) levels in human samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format, with a stated sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.313–20 ng/mL.

DSE is an enzyme responsible for catalysing the conversion of glucuronic acid to iduronic acid during dermatan sulfate biosynthesis, a process implicated in the regulation of cell adhesion, inflammation, and tissue repair. Dysregulation of DSE activity has been linked to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and cardiovascular disorders, supporting its investigation as a potential biomarker in research into these conditions.

Reported linearity across dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8) covers 93–104%, 95–100%, and 82–98% for serum (n = 5); 90–101%, 86–101%, and 88–97% for EDTA plasma (n = 5); and 90–105%, 85–101%, and 81–98% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Recovery ranges are 87–102% (serum, average 96%), 85–100% (EDTA plasma, average 91%), and 88–104% (heparin plasma, average 95%). The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
