Human DRD1/Dopamine Receptor D1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human DRD1 (Dopamine Receptor D1) concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection and is intended for research use only.

DRD1 binds to dopamine receptors in the brain and is activated by adenylyl cyclase. It plays a critical role in neuronal growth and development, mediates some behavioral responses, and influences dopamine receptor D2-mediated events. Cerebral meningioma and pathological gambling are two examples of diseases linked to the DRD1 gene, while signaling by GPCR and G alpha signaling events are among its downstream pathways.

The kit is supplied as a pre-coated plate with all reagents necessary to run the assay. Sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL with a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Reported recovery ranges are 88–102% for serum (average 93%), 89–105% for EDTA plasma (average 98%) and 86–101% for UFH plasma (average 93%). Precision is stated as intra-assay CV <8% and inter-assay CV <10%. Reagents should be stored at 4 °C for up to six months.
