Description

From Assay Genie, this solid-phase sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Cathepsin C (CTSC) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The target, also known by the synonyms CTS-C, DPPI, CPPI, DPP1, DPP-I, HMS, JP, JPD, PALS, PLS, Dipeptidyl Peptidase I, Dipeptidyl transferase, and Cathepsin J, corresponds to UniProt P53634, Gene ID 1075, and KEGG K01275.

Cathepsin C is a key enzyme involved in the activation of proteases, playing roles in tissue remodeling, immune response modulation, and inflammatory processes. Dysregulation has been linked to cancer, inflammatory disorders, and autoimmune diseases.

The assay offers a sensitivity of 0.105ng/mL with a working range of 0.312-20ng/mL. Spike-and-recovery was 80-102% (average 91%) in serum (n=5), 81-100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 80-89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma (n=5). Linearity from 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions gave serum (n=5) 82-96%, 83-98%, 81-99%, and 93-101%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 88-101%, 86-95%, 90-102%, and 80-93%; heparin plasma (n=5) 80-91%, 82-90%, 95-104%, and 79-95%. Intra-assay CV is reported at <10% and inter-assay CV at <12%. Loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage, and the stated shelf life is 12 months. The colorimetric protocol uses incubation at 37°C with absorbance read at 450nm. Storage and shipping are at +4°C. For research use only.
