Diffuse panbronchiolitis critical region protein 1 (DPCR1), also annotated as C6orf37 and PBLT, sits within the 6p21.3 MHC class I region on chromosome 6 and encodes a mucin-like glycoprotein expressed in airway and mucosal epithelia. Because of its genomic placement and tissue-restricted expression, DPCR1 is a candidate biomarker in studies of chronic airway inflammation, diffuse panbronchiolitis, and related pulmonary host-response mechanisms, where quantitative profiling of native protein levels in clinical biospecimens is needed.

The Assay Genie ELISA kit supports quantitative measurement of native human DPCR1 across human biofluid samples and is supplied as a 96 Assays kit format with pre-coated microwell strip plate, lyophilized standards, detection antibody, buffers, substrate, and stop solution. The reagents are intended for in vitro research use only, and the workflow fits standard immunology, biomarker discovery, and translational respiratory research laboratories that already operate plate readers capable of absorbance measurement.

Researchers use the assay to map DPCR1 concentrations across patient cohorts, compare inflamed versus non-inflamed respiratory disease groups, and benchmark the protein against other inflammatory markers in longitudinal sample sets. Because DPCR1 is a relatively low-abundance mucin-family target, the kit is most often paired with careful sample handling, replicate wells, and dilution series to keep readings within the linear portion of the standard curve.
