Human DNA topoisomerase 2-alpha (TOP2A) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human DNA topoisomerase 2-alpha (TOP2A), a vital enzyme that controls topological states of DNA by transient breakage and subsequent rejoining of DNA strands, making double-strand breaks. The enzyme is essential during mitosis and meiosis for proper segregation of daughter chromosomes, and its dysregulation has been implicated in diseases including cancer, making it a key biomarker for research into disease mechanisms and therapeutic targets.

The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is intended for human samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It detects both natural and recombinant human DNA topoisomerase 2-alpha, with a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.2ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 6.9%. Linearity was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with values such as 93-103%, 91-100%, 106-116% and 96-108% reported for serum. Average spike recovery is 80% for serum (range 80-86%) and 82% for plasma (range 80-88%). The target protein has a molecular weight of 182,681 Da (UniProt P11388). For research use only.
