Human DNA mismatch repair protein Msh2 (MSH2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human DNA mismatch repair protein MSH2. The kit is intended for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and is suited to cancer research, including studies of hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC) and Lynch syndrome where MSH2 status is of interest.

Performance figures include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 32pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.5% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution factors from 1:2 to 1:16, and spike-and-recovery testing returns an average of 98% (range 92-104%) in serum and 100% (range 94-106%) in plasma. The antibody pair recognises natural and recombinant human MSH2, and the target is documented under UniProt P43246 with a nuclear subcellular localisation.

MSH2 is a core component of the post-replicative DNA mismatch repair (MMR) pathway, forming the MutS alpha (MSH2-MSH6) and MutS beta (MSH2-MSH3) heterodimers that initiate repair at base mismatches and small insertion-deletion loops. The product is labelled by Assay Genie for research use only.
