Human DNA ligase 1 (LIG1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the precise detection of DNA Ligase 1 levels in human samples. The assay is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is specific for natural and recombinant human DNA ligase 1. It uses a colorimetric detection method with a detection range of 0.625-40ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.312ng/mL.

DNA Ligase 1 is an enzyme that seals nicks in double-stranded DNA during DNA replication, DNA recombination and DNA repair. The protein is localised to the nucleus and interacts with PCNA, and has been implicated in DNA replication, recombination, base excision repair, and V(D)J recombination. Dysregulation of DNA Ligase 1 has been associated with cancer, genetic disorders, and neurological conditions, making it a biomarker of interest for disease research and therapeutic development. Reported performance includes an intra-assay CV of 8.4% and an inter-assay CV of 11.1%. Linearity in serum spans 96-106% at 1:2, 91-100% at 1:4, 106-115% at 1:8 and 103% at 1:16 dilution; in EDTA plasma 99-111%, 102-112%, 100-110% and 89-99%; and in heparin plasma 103-115%, 87-96%, 103-113% and 91-101%. Average recovery is 92% (range 86-98%) for serum and 94% (range 88-100%) for plasma.
