Human DNA excision repair protein ERCC-1 (ERCC1) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of human DNA excision repair protein ERCC-1 (ERCC1) in human samples. The kit is intended for research use only and is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

ERCC1 is a key component of the nucleotide excision repair pathway, forming a heterodimer with XPF/ERCC4 that performs the 5'-incision step during DNA repair. Deficiencies in ERCC1 have been linked to increased susceptibility to DNA damage and to diseases such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, making the protein a relevant target in cancer research.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.12ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 4.3% and inter-assay precision is 7.1%. Linearity has been validated in serum (95-116%), EDTA plasma (87-119%) and heparin plasma (91-113%) across serial dilutions, with mean recovery of 95% in serum and 97% in plasma. The assay specifically detects natural and recombinant human ERCC1.
