Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of human DNA-directed RNA polymerase III subunit RPC9 (CRCP) in human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The colorimetric assay shows reactivity with human samples and is specific for natural and recombinant human DNA-directed RNA polymerase III subunit RPC9.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.6%, and an inter-assay CV of 8.1%. Linearity in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma is documented in the product specifications. Recovery is reported at an average of 97% (range 91-103%) for serum and 99% (range 93-105%) for plasma.

RPC9 is a critical subunit of the DNA-directed RNA polymerase III (Pol III) complex, which comprises 17 subunits, and is essential for the transcription of small non-coding RNAs. CRCP/RPC9 also functions as an accessory protein for the calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor, modulating CGRP responsiveness across multiple tissues. Dysregulation of RPC9 has been linked to cancer, neurological disorders, and developmental abnormalities. UniProt entry: O75575. For research use only.
