Description

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human DNA damage-inducible transcript 3 protein (DDIT3), also known as CHOP. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. DDIT3 is described as a multifunctional transcription factor in the endoplasmic reticulum stress response, with dysregulation linked to cancer, diabetes, and neurodegenerative disorders, making the kit relevant to research into disease mechanisms and therapeutic strategies.

The assay has a detection range of 0.78–50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.21 ng/mL. Reported precision includes an intra-assay CV of 4.2% and an inter-assay CV of 8.6%. Linearity has been evaluated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 in serum (95–105% down to 84–84%), EDTA plasma (108–117% down to 105–113%), and heparin plasma (98–110% down to 84–94%). Recovery averages 85% in serum (range 80–91%) and 87% in plasma (range 81–93%). The product is for research use only.
