Human DNA (cytosine-5)-methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1) ELISA Kit

A high-quality sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of human DNA (cytosine-5)-methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1). The kit is designed to measure DNMT1 levels in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and reacts with both natural and recombinant human DNMT1.

Key performance characteristics reported by Assay Genie include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Precision is given as an intra-assay CV of 3.9% and an inter-assay CV of 6.2%. Linearity has been validated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum (83–92%, 102–112%, 103–116%, 96–105%), EDTA plasma (104–114%, 109–118%, 102–112%, 107–116%) and heparin plasma (108–108%, 108–117%, 95–107%, 85–94%). Recovery is reported as an average of 101% (range 95–107%) in serum and 103% (range 97–109%) in plasma.

DNMT1 is a nuclear DNA methyltransferase that methylates CpG residues, preferentially methylates hemimethylated DNA and is responsible for maintaining methylation patterns established in development. Dysregulation of DNMT1 has been implicated in cancer, neurological disorders and developmental abnormalities, making it a relevant target for epigenetic and molecular biology research.
