From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human DNA- (apurinic or apyrimidinic site) lyase (APEX1), a multifunctional protein also known as redox factor-1 that plays a central role in cellular responses to oxidative stress, DNA repair and the maintenance of genomic stability. The colorimetric immunoassay is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human DNA-(apurinic or apyrimidinic site) lyase.

Performance characteristics quoted for the kit include a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 6.1% CV and inter-assay precision is 11.2% CV. Reported recovery is 113% (range 107-119%) for serum and 115% (range 109-120%) for plasma. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. The associated UniProt entry is P27695.
