Human Disks large homolog 4 (DLG4) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Disks large homolog 4 (DLG4), a membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) scaffolding protein also known as PSD-95 and SAP-90. DLG4 is concentrated at neuronal postsynaptic densities, where it interacts with the cytoplasmic tails of NMDA receptor subunits and shaker-type potassium channels and is required for synaptic plasticity associated with NMDA receptor signalling. Aberrant DLG4 expression has been associated with neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia and autism spectrum disorders, making this protein an important research biomarker in neuroscience. The kit is intended for research use only.

The assay uses a colorimetric sandwich ELISA format validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It specifically recognises natural and recombinant human DLG4 (UniProt P78352). The reported detection range is 0.312–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.097 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.6% and inter-assay CV is 9.6%. Spike-and-recovery is reported at an average of 89% (range 83–95%) for serum and 91% (range 85–97%) for plasma. Linearity has been evaluated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma; for example, serum (N=5) showed 95–104% at 1:2 and 102–115% at 1:16, and heparin plasma (N=5) showed 103–113% at 1:2 and 119–129% at 1:16.
