Human Disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 28 (ADAM28) ELISA Kit

The assay is reactive with human samples and is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It offers high sensitivity and specificity for natural and recombinant human ADAM28, supporting research into cell adhesion, migration, and ectodomain shedding of lymphocyte surface proteins such as FASL and CD40L, as well as sperm maturation. ADAM28 is a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, inflammation and asthma, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these conditions. The colorimetric sandwich-format assay is read at 450 nm, with a reported detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 10pg/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.9% and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Linearity has been characterised across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16, in serum (104-113% down to 82-92%), EDTA plasma (82-92% up to 92-102%), and heparin plasma (91-100% up to 101-110%). Recovery averages 110% in serum (range 104-116) and 112% in plasma (range 106-118). The kit is specific for human ADAM28 (UniProt Q9UKQ2), with isoform 2 described as a secreted form, and components are stored at -20°C or 4°C as indicated per reagent.
