Human Disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 12 (ADAM12) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative detection of human Disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 12 (ADAM12), also known as Meltrin-alpha, ADAM 12 or MLTN. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The kit detects natural and recombinant human ADAM12 with a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.12 ng/mL. Reported intra-assay CV is 4.9% and inter-assay CV is 7.4%. In linearity testing, serial dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma gave recovery ranges within the values stated in the product specification, and average recovery in serum was 98% (range 92-104) and in plasma 100% (range 94-106).

ADAM12 is a member of the ADAM protein family involved in skeletal muscle regeneration at the onset of cell fusion, and in the formation of macrophage-derived giant cells and osteoclasts from mononuclear precursors.
