Human Disabled homolog 1 (DAB1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format immunoassay from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of human Disabled homolog 1 (DAB1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The colorimetric ELISA method is intended for research use only and is specific for natural and recombinant human DAB1.

The assay is reported with a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.093 ng/mL. Precision is given as an intra-assay CV of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 8.1%. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, and recovery averages 86% in serum (range 80-92%) and 88% in plasma (range 82-94%). DAB1 is described as an adapter molecule functioning in neural development that may regulate SIAH1 activity; the molecule associates with the SH2 domains of SRC, FYN and ABL, and interacts (when phosphorylated on tyrosine residues) with CRK and CRKL via their SH2 domains, and additionally with DAB2IP, SIAH1, LRP1, LRP8 and VLDLR.
