Human Dipeptidase 1, Renal (DPEP1) ELISA Kit

The Human Dipeptidase 1, Renal (DPEP1) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie quantitatively measures DPEP1 protein in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids using a colorimetric microplate immunoassay format. DPEP1 is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored zinc metallopeptidase localized to the brush border membrane of renal proximal tubule cells, where it hydrolyzes dipeptides and contributes to glutathione conjugate metabolism and leukotriene D4 inactivation.

This ELISA supports research into renal tubular function, drug metabolism involving β-lactam and carbapenem antibiotics, and the role of DPEP1 as a candidate tumor suppressor in colorectal and gastric cancers. The kit uses a human-specific capture antibody paired with a biotinylated detection antibody for accurate quantification of native human DPEP1, with no significant cross-reactivity reported with rat or mouse orthologs. Unopened reagents should be stored refrigerated at 2 to 8 °C, protected from light; the standard stock should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles.
