Human Dimethylglycine dehydrogenase, mitochondrial (DMGDH) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Dimethylglycine dehydrogenase, mitochondrial (DMGDH) levels in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human DMGDH, with a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39pg/mL.

Intra-assay precision is 4.0% CV and inter-assay precision is 8.1% CV. Linearity in serum (N=5) spans 99-109% at a 1:2 dilution to 96-106% at 1:16. EDTA plasma (N=5) ranges from 108-117% to 84-94%, and heparin plasma (N=5) spans 103-112% to 103-116%. Recovery averages 94% in serum (range 88-100%) and 96% in plasma (range 90-102%).

DMGDH is a mitochondrial enzyme that catalyzes the oxidative demethylation of N,N-dimethylglycine to sarcosine and also has activity with sarcosine in vitro. Dysregulation of this enzyme has been linked to metabolic disorders and neurological diseases, making it a valuable research target. For research use only.
