Human Dihydrofolate Reductase/DHFR ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric sandwich ELISA in a double-antibody format quantitatively measures human Dihydrofolate Reductase (DHFR). Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses TMB substrate with absorbance read at 450 nm after stop solution is added.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a detection range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. Reported linearity (n=5) is 86–104% for serum, 85–101% for EDTA plasma, and 80–99% for heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:8. Recovery averages 98% in serum (range 92–105%), 93% in EDTA plasma (range 86–98%), and 98% in heparin plasma (range 92–104%).

DHFR (UniProt P00374; EC 1.5.1.3) catalyses an essential step in folate metabolism and contributes to DNA precursor synthesis. The kit is intended for immunology research, where DHFR is studied in the context of cancer and developmental disorders. Kit components are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.
