Human Dickkopf-related protein 1 (DKK1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA developed by Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of Human Dickkopf-related protein 1 (DKK1). The kit is intended for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for both natural and recombinant human DKK1.

The reported detection range is 78-5000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 31pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.7% and inter-assay CV is 9.2%. Linearity across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 is reported as serum (N=5) 91-99% to 80-89%, EDTA plasma (N=5) 91-99% to 102-112%, and heparin plasma (N=5) 82-91% to 103-113%. Recovery in serum averages 101% (range 95-107%) and in plasma averages 103% (range 97-109%).

DKK1 is a secreted inhibitor of canonical Wnt signaling that antagonizes the pathway by inhibiting LRP5/6 interaction with Wnt and by forming a ternary complex with KREMEN that promotes internalization of LRP5/6. Elevated DKK1 levels have been associated with osteoporosis, cancer and Alzheimer's disease, supporting its investigation as a biomarker in research. The kit is for research use only.
