Description

Designed for the quantitative detection of human diacylglycerol kinase alpha (DGKA), this sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie provides a colorimetric method for measuring DGKA in human samples. The kit is intended for research use only and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. DGKA plays a central role in lipid metabolism and intracellular signaling by converting diacylglycerol into phosphatidate, which attenuates protein kinase C activity. Altered DGKA expression has been associated with cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic disorders, and the assay is positioned for cardiovascular and related research applications.

The detection range is 0.625-40 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.315 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 8.4% and inter-assay CV at 10.1%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at serial dilutions. Recovery averages 86% (range 80-92%) in serum and 88% (range 82-94%) in plasma. Specificity is demonstrated against natural and recombinant human DGKA. The target corresponds to UniProt P23743, exists as a monomer, and carries the synonyms 80 kDa diacylglycerol kinase, Diglyceride kinase alpha, DGK-alpha, DAG kinase alpha, DAGK, and DAGK1.
