Destrin (DSTN), also known as actin depolymerizing factor (ADF), belongs to the ADF/cofilin family of actin-binding proteins. It accelerates actin filament turnover by severing filaments and promoting depolymerization at the pointed end, contributing to cytoskeletal remodeling, cell migration, cytokinesis, and neuronal development.
