Human Desmoyokin (AHNAK) ELISA Kit

AHNAK (desmoyokin) is a giant ~629 kDa scaffold protein first identified in bovine Descemet's membrane, abundant in epithelial cells, cardiomyocytes, and the submembranous cytoskeleton. It binds the ryanodine receptor, modulates L-type calcium channels, and participates in cell migration, membrane repair, and tumor invasion pathways. The Assay Genie kit provides reagents for quantitative measurement of AHNAK in tissue homogenates and cell lysates, supporting research in melanoma, breast cancer, cardiomyopathy, and barrier function. The assay uses paired antibodies in a pre-coated microplate format with all buffers, standards, and conjugate provided. Intended for research use only; not validated for clinical diagnostics. Reagents should be stored refrigerated; standards and concentrated conjugate are best kept frozen in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw degradation. This human-specific capture antibody shows no significant cross-reactivity with rodent AHNAK isoforms under standard conditions.
