Human Desmoglein-3 (DSG3) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the detection of human Desmoglein-3 (DSG3), also referred to as 130 kDa pemphigus vulgaris antigen, PVA, Cadherin family member 6 or CDHF6. The assay is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The kit offers a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 39pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.6% and inter-assay CV is 9.1%. Linearity testing in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 produced recovery ranges spanning 87% to 117%. Serum recovery averaged 103% (range 97-109%) and plasma recovery averaged 105% (range 99-111%). The assay specifically detects natural and recombinant human Desmoglein-3.

DSG3 is a calcium-binding transmembrane glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 107,533 Da, located at chromosomal position 18q12.1. It functions as a component of intercellular desmosome junctions, mediating cell-cell adhesion in skin and mucous membranes. Dysregulation of DSG3 has been implicated in autoimmune skin disorders such as pemphigus vulgaris, supporting its use as a biomarker in the signal transduction research area. For research use only.
