Human Des-gamma carboxyprothrombin (DCP) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Des-gamma carboxyprothrombin (DCP), also known as PIVKA-II, in human samples. The assay targets natural and recombinant human Des-gamma carboxyprothrombin and is applicable to serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The kit delivers a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.15ng/mL. Reported precision values include an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and an inter-assay CV of 8.1%. Linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilutions (1:2 to 1:16) in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, while recovery averages 102% for serum (range 96-108%) and 104% for plasma (range 98-110%). Detection is read at 450 nm using a microplate reader.

Des-gamma carboxyprothrombin is an abnormal form of the coagulation protein prothrombin that arises when post-translational carboxylation by gamma-glutamyl carboxylase in the liver is incomplete. It is also known as protein induced by vitamin K absence/antagonist-II (PIVKA-II) and may be detected in individuals with vitamin K deficiency or those taking vitamin K antagonists such as warfarin.
