Human Dermatopontin (DPT) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Dermatopontin (DPT), also known as Tyrosine-rich acidic matrix protein (TRAMP). The kit is intended for research use only and is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. It specifically detects natural and recombinant human Dermatopontin.

Dermatopontin is an extracellular matrix protein with functions in cell-matrix interactions and matrix assembly. It mediates adhesion by cell surface integrin binding, enhances TGFB1 activity, inhibits cell proliferation, and accelerates collagen fibril formation. Dysregulation of DPT has been linked to skin disorders, fibrosis, and aging, making it a useful biomarker for related research.

The assay has a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.089ng/mL. Reported precision values are 8.2% (intra-assay CV) and 9.9% (inter-assay CV). Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, with average recovery of 84% for serum and 86% for plasma.
