Human Deoxyribonuclease-1 (DNASE1) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Deoxyribonuclease-1 (DNASE1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with reactivity for human samples only.

The assay covers a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL with a stated sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Linearity has been validated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery averages 88% (range 82–94%) in serum and 90% (range 84–96%) in plasma. Intra-assay precision is 5.6% CV and inter-assay precision is 7.7% CV. The kit detects natural and recombinant human DNASE1 and is supplied for research use only.

DNASE1 is a member of the DNase I family and participates in DNA catabolism, apoptosis and immune regulation. It is stored in zymogen granules at the nuclear envelope and binds G-actin to block actin polymerization. Dysregulation has been linked to systemic lupus erythematosus and other autoimmune or inflammatory conditions. A recombinant form, dornase alfa, is used clinically to hydrolyse extracellular DNA in the sputum of cystic fibrosis patients.
