Human Delta-aminolevulinic acid dehydratase (ALAD) ELISA Kit

The colorimetric detection method is intended for human samples, supporting research into heme biosynthesis, metabolism, and related conditions such as lead poisoning and acute hepatic porphyria.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 1.56-100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.78 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and inter-assay CV of 10.0%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (N=5), EDTA plasma (N=5) and heparin plasma (N=5) at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with average recovery of 101% (range 95-107%) in serum and 103% (range 97-109%) in plasma. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human ALAD (UniProt P13716), also known by the synonyms Porphobilinogen synthase and ALADH, and is supplied for research use only.
