Human Deiodinase, Iodothyronine, Type II (DIO2) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Human Deiodinase, Iodothyronine, Type II (DIO2) ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of DIO2, the selenoprotein enzyme that catalyzes outer-ring deiodination of thyroxine (T4) into active 3,3',5-triiodothyronine (T3). The assay uses a sandwich immunoassay format on a pre-coated microplate and is calibrated for human samples including tissue homogenates and cell lysates from brain, pituitary, brown adipose tissue, skeletal muscle, and thyroid.

Researchers studying local tissue-level thyroid hormone metabolism, pituitary feedback regulation, brown adipose tissue thermogenesis, and skeletal muscle T3 production use this kit to measure DIO2 protein abundance alongside gene expression data from PCR or western blot studies. The capture antibody is specific for the human DIO2 isoform and shows no significant cross-reactivity with DIO1 or DIO3.

Unopened kits should be stored refrigerated; reconstituted reagents and unused strips are kept frozen. Each 96-well microplate kit is supplied with a vial of lyophilized standard, detection antibody, wash buffer, substrate solution, and stop solution intended for research use only in vitro applications.
