Human DEFB126 (Beta-defensin 126) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA, double-antibody kit enables quantitative measurement of human Beta-defensin 126 (DEFB126) in human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, with a reported sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a working range of 0.625-40 ng/mL. Reagents are intended to be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

DEFB126 is a secreted member of the beta-defensin family with a role in innate immune defense against microbial infections; dysregulation of DEFB126 has been associated with inflammatory conditions, making it a biomarker of interest for studies of immune responses, infectious disease, and inflammation. Reported linearity in serum was 93-100% at 1:2 and 87-103% at both 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions; EDTA plasma gave 85-101% (1:2), 82-100% (1:4) and 84-100% (1:8); heparin plasma gave 82-91% (1:2), 82-93% (1:4) and 91-99% (1:8). Average recovery was 91% for serum, 92% for EDTA plasma and 96% for heparin plasma.
