Description

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human DDX42 (ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX42) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a biotin-labelled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, with colour developed by TMB substrate and read at 450 nm.

DDX42 is an ATP-dependent RNA helicase (Uniprot Q86XP3) involved in RNA metabolism, with documented roles in RNA splicing, translation, and RNA transport, making it a relevant target for studies of gene expression regulation and RNA-related disease pathways. The kit's listed sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL with a standard curve range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Reported recovery is 87-104% in serum (average 95%), 86-100% in EDTA plasma (average 95%), and 91-103% in heparin plasma (average 98%). Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Sample preparation guidance covers serum, plasma with EDTA or heparin anticoagulants, cell culture supernatant, suspension and adherent cell lysates, and tissue homogenates. The protocol proceeds through a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding (60 minutes), HRP-Streptavidin incubation (30 minutes), and TMB substrate (10-20 minutes in the dark), with absorbance read at 450 nm after stop solution.
