Description

This Sandwich ELISA, double-antibody kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of DDT (D-Dopachrome Tautomerase) in human samples. According to the manufacturer, DDT, also known as D-Dopachrome Tautomerase, is a key enzyme involved in melanin synthesis and immune response regulation, and its dysregulation has been linked to inflammatory diseases, autoimmune disorders, and certain types of cancer. The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with reactivity specified for human specimens.

Detection is colorimetric, using a TMB substrate read at 450 nm, with HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and a biotin-labelled detection antibody. The manufacturer reports a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a standard range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Reported linearity in serum (n=5) is 89-102% at 1:2, 90-96% at 1:4, and 90-103% at 1:8; in EDTA plasma (n=5) 89-97%, 84-98%, 82-97%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) 83-100%, 84-96%, 82-96%. Recovery is 92-99% (average 95%) in serum, 86-103% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma, and 86-102% (average 95%) in heparin plasma. Unopened kit components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
