DCP (Des-Gamma-Carboxyprothrombin), also known as protein induced by vitamin K absence or antagonist-II (PIVKA-II), is recognised as a key marker for liver cancer and other hepatic conditions, with elevated levels associated with abnormal clotting. The Assay Genie Human DCP/Des-gamma carboxyprothrombin ELISA Kit is a colourimetric sandwich ELISA using a double-antibody format, intended for the precise quantitative measurement of DCP in human samples.

Compatible matrices include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with kit components stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Spiked recovery in serum is 86-99% (average 94%), EDTA plasma 87-105% (average 94%), and heparin plasma 90-99% (average 92%). Linearity ranges were 83-103% for serum, 85-104% for EDTA plasma, and 82-100% for heparin plasma across serial dilutions. Absorbance is read at 450 nm following TMB substrate development.
