Human D-Dimer (D2D) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative detection of human D-Dimer (D2D). The assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is intended for research use only.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 6.25-400 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 3.1 ng/mL. Intra-assay and inter-assay coefficients of variation are 5.1% and 10.5%, respectively. Specificity is confirmed against natural and recombinant human D-Dimer. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery in serum averaged 103% (range 97-109%), and recovery in plasma averaged 105% (range 99-111%).

Detection relies on a colorimetric reaction with absorbance measured at 450 nm using a microplate reader. D-dimer serves as a key biomarker for conditions involving blood clotting and thrombosis, including deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism and disseminated intravascular coagulation, making this kit suitable for related research applications.
