Human D (2)dopamine receptor (DRD2) ELISA Kit

The Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of the human D(2) dopamine receptor (DRD2), also known as the Dopamine D2 receptor. It is reactive with human samples and validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Detection is colorimetric, and the assay shows specificity for natural and recombinant human D(2) dopamine receptor.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.4% and an inter-assay CV of 6.8%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with values ranging from 84% to 122% depending on the matrix and dilution. Recovery testing returned an average of 87% (range 81-93%) in serum and 89% (range 83-95%) in plasma.

DRD2 is a G-protein coupled receptor whose activity is mediated by G proteins which inhibit adenylyl cyclase. The kit is intended for research use only and supports investigations in neurosciences, including studies of dopaminergic signalling in conditions such as schizophrenia, addiction, and Parkinson's disease.
