Human Cytosolic non-specific dipeptidase (CNDP2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human cytosolic non-specific dipeptidase (CNDP2) in biological samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. CNDP2, also known by synonyms including CNDP dipeptidase 2, Carnosine dipeptidase II, Epididymis secretory protein Li 13, Glutamate carboxypeptidase-like protein 1, Peptidase A, CN2, CPGL, HEL-S-13 and PEPA, is a homodimeric cytoplasmic enzyme with a molecular weight of 53kDa.

The assay provides a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.24ng/mL and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human CNDP2. Reproducibility is supported by an intra-assay CV of 3.1% and an inter-assay CV of 6.3%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum (97-107% at 1:2 to 108-117% at 1:16 dilution), EDTA plasma (101-111% to 89-102%) and heparin plasma (80-89% to 92-104%). Recovery averages 84% in serum (range 80-90%) and 86% in plasma (range 80-92%).

CNDP2 hydrolyzes a variety of dipeptides including L-carnosine, with a strong preference for Cys-Gly, and has been linked to peptide metabolism, diabetic nephropathy and chronic kidney disease. The enzyme has also been described as a functional tumor suppressor in gastric cancer via MAPK pathway activation. The kit is intended for research use only.
