Human Cytosol aminopeptidase (LAP3) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is intended for research use only, providing quantitative detection of human Cytosol aminopeptidase (LAP3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is read on a colorimetric ELISA platform.

Reported performance specifications include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of 0.082 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.2% and an inter-assay CV of 8.4%. The kit specifically recognises natural and recombinant human Cytosol aminopeptidase. Recovery in serum averages 92% (range 86–98%) and in plasma 94% (range 88–100%).

LAP3, also known as Leucine aminopeptidase 3, Leucyl aminopeptidase, Peptidase S, Proline aminopeptidase, Prolyl aminopeptidase, LAP-3, LAPEP or PEPS, is presumably involved in the processing and regular turnover of intracellular proteins, catalysing the removal of unsubstituted N-terminal amino acids from various peptides. The enzyme is a homohexamer localised to the cytoplasm and belongs to the leucine aminopeptidase family (UniProt P28838; molecular weight 52,771 Da).
