Cytokeratin 19 (KRT19) is a ~40 kDa type I keratin protein expressed by simple epithelial cells and investigated as a circulating biomarker in carcinoma research. Assay Genie's KRT19 ELISA Kit is intended for research use only and provides an immunoassay for quantifying this marker across multiple sample types.

Common applications include studies of circulating tumor cells in breast, lung, and hepatocellular carcinoma, investigation of epithelial-mesenchymal transition in cancer cell models, and validation of KRT19 secretion in conditioned media from cultured epithelial lines.
