Human Cytochrome P450 3A5 (CYP3A5) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Cytochrome P450 3A5 (CYP3A5) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. CYP3A5 is a cytochrome P450 monooxygenase involved in the metabolism of steroid hormones, vitamins and xenobiotics; inter-individual variability in its activity can affect drug efficacy and toxicity, making its measurement relevant to studies of drug metabolism, pharmacogenetics, and personalized medicine.

Using a colorimetric detection method, the assay has a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.056 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 4.0% and an inter-assay CV of 7.7%. Recovery is reported at an average of 89% (range 83–95%) for serum and 91% (range 85–97%) for plasma. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human CYP3A5, is for research use only, and is listed under the cardiovascular research area.
