Human Cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1), a key enzyme in the metabolism of drugs, alcohol, carcinogens and other xenobiotics. The assay is intended for research use only and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, with stated specificity for natural and recombinant human CYP2E1.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 39 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 7.9% and an inter-assay CV of 9.2%. Linearity has been evaluated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum recovery averaging 109% (range 103-115%) and plasma recovery averaging 111% (range 105-117%).

The kit is supplied with a dismountable microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents, wash buffer, TMB substrate and stop solution, with storage conditions specified per component. CYP2E1 (UniProt P05181) is a cytochrome P450 monooxygenase located on the endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondrial inner membrane, and is associated with cardiovascular research.
