Human Cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA for the quantitative measurement of human Cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The colorimetric detection method is intended for research applications where accurate and reproducible quantification of this drug-metabolising enzyme is required.

Manufacturer-specified performance figures include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.034 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.2% and an inter-assay CV of 10.8%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (91-120%), EDTA plasma (93-114%) and heparin plasma (81-113%) over dilution factors from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery averages 103% (range 97-109%) in serum and 105% (range 99-111%) in plasma. The assay is specific to natural and recombinant human CYP2D6 and is for research use only.

CYP2D6 belongs to the cytochrome P450 family and is responsible for the oxidative metabolism of a wide range of drugs and environmental chemicals, with documented substrates including antiarrhythmics, adrenoceptor antagonists and tricyclic antidepressants. The protein corresponds to UniProt entry P10635 and localises to the endoplasmic reticulum and microsomal membranes, supporting its relevance within the cardiovascular research area.
