Human Cytochrome P450 2C19 (CYP2C19) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Cytochrome P450 2C19 (CYP2C19) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The kit is reactive with human samples and is specific for natural and recombinant human CYP2C19.

CYP2C19 is a key cytochrome P450 monooxygenase involved in drug metabolism, responsible for the metabolism of therapeutic agents including the anticonvulsant S-mephenytoin, omeprazole, proguanil, certain barbiturates, diazepam, propranolol, citalopram, and imipramine. The enzyme localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane as a peripheral membrane protein and is encoded at chromosomal location 10q24 (UniProt P33261; NCBI Gene ID 1557). Synonyms include (R)-limonene 6-monooxygenase, (S)-limonene 6-monooxygenase, (S)-limonene 7-monooxygenase, CYPIIC17, CYPIIC19, Cytochrome P450-11A, Cytochrome P450-254C, Fenbendazole monooxygenase (4'-hydroxylating), and Mephenytoin 4-hydroxylase.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, sensitivity of 0.082 ng/mL, intra-assay CV of 5.3%, and inter-assay CV of 8.6%. Recovery is 97% (range 91-103) in serum and 99% (range 93-105) in plasma. The kit is intended for research use only.
