Human Cytochrome C Oxidase Subunit II (COX2) ELISA Kit

Cytochrome C Oxidase Subunit II (COX2), also known as MT-CO2 or COII, is one of three mitochondrial DNA-encoded catalytic core subunits of complex IV, the terminal enzyme of the electron transport chain. Mutations and altered expression of COX2 are studied in mitochondrial disorders, neurodegeneration, and metabolic disease research, making it a key mitochondrial biomarker.

This Assay Genie ELISA provides a quantitative immunoassay for measuring COX2 protein levels in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and related sample types, with species reactivity validated against human, mouse, and rat COX2 and minimal cross-reactivity to other cytochrome subunits. The kit includes a pre-coated microplate, capture and detection antibodies, standards, and reagents sufficient for 96 assays.
